How we earn — and how we don't
This site contains affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. We believe in being upfront about it. Here's exactly how it works.

The short version
AGITE participates in affiliate marketing programmes. This means some of the outbound links on this site — particularly links to second-hand marketplaces and retailers in our Journal articles and Wardrobe Value Estimator — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you; you pay the same price you would have anyway.
Why we use affiliate links
AGITE's mission is to help you understand what your wardrobe is worth and connect you with the best places to buy and sell second-hand. Affiliate commissions are one of the ways we fund the editorial content and free tools on this site. They let us keep the Journal and the Value Estimator free to use.
Our editorial independence
Commissions never determine our recommendations. We suggest marketplaces and brands based on genuine suitability — authentication standards, audience, fees and reputation — not on which partner pays the most. Where a platform is the right home for an item, we say so whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with it. If we ever can't recommend something honestly, we leave it out.
How the links work
We work with affiliate networks (including Skimlinks) and individual merchant programmes. These networks may automatically convert ordinary outbound merchant links into trackable affiliate links. When you follow such a link and complete a qualifying purchase, the merchant pays the network a commission and the network shares part of it with us.
Third-party sites
When you click an outbound link you leave agite.com and enter a third party's website, governed by that company's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, authentication or fulfilment of any third-party marketplace. Always review a seller's and platform's policies before purchasing.
Your trust matters most
We would rather lose a commission than your confidence. If you ever feel a recommendation is anything but honest, tell us — every message reaches a real person.
